So it goes without saying, that being a full time Essex DJ is a dream come true.
From a young age, my parents would take me to our local social club.
Consequently, I would cover my ears at hearing the same 50’s to 80’s songs.
They would be played at high volume through crackling speakers.

Needless to say, I’d come to appreciate the classics later in life.
Let’s face it, many of them are still the staples of any good party.
In my teenage years and I fell in love with the UK Garage scene. Beginning my DJ journey on pirate radio stations. I was quickly recruited by a well known garage “crew”. And eventually, working my way up to playing in some of the best clubs across London. Headlining alongside the likes of EZ, Masterstepz, Neat to name a few. It was fun while it lasted, but my musical tastes grew exponentially. Before long, the thought of playing one genre of music for the whole night, became too repetitive. The club and bar scene had lost some of it’s draw. And I stepped away from the decks and became immersed in listening to new music. Where I started
My passion for DJing started when I was at school in the mid-nineties.
I grew up in a a very “music orientated” household. My parents always had some sort of music on in the background. Everything from the 50’s to whatever was current at the time.
By the time I got to University, I had my own set of Technic 1210’s. And a semi reliable mixer and speaker set up and spent almost all of my free time mixing anything I could get my hands on.
In no time, I was playing at house parties and playing residencies at some of Brighton’s biggest club promotions. After I graduated I found a career in Financial services in London. Before long, music had taken a temporary back seat. And I missed it without realising it at the time. In 2015 my old circle of friends started to plan their weddings. I started being asked to DJ at their weddings and after parties. I guess it was a perk of being responsible for the sound track of our student lives. It was an honour to be involved in something as personal as a wedding. And of course, I tailored sets to my friend’s and partner’s demands and by all accounts, knocked it out of the park. “The best wedding we have ever been to” was echoed around the breakfast table the next day, and I knew that music had to become back at the forefront of my life. Having known Dan & Dave for years, the moment they heard I was DJ’ing, they approached me and asked me about coming on board as a full time Essex Wedding DJ. It was the perfect match, they had been at numerous Weddings and parties where I was behind the decks, and knew what I could bring to the table to further enhance the reputation they had already built. And since 2017, having done well over 400+ weddings, it has worked seamlessly to give couples the day they deserve and more. Often, I was having to delve into new genres. I have always been surrounded by music.
Growing up in the 80’s. I found myself being brought to various social clubs as a youngster with my family.
This is where the passion began.

Furthermore, I have an appreciation for all types of music. Loving the old favourites from the masterful Frank Sinatra to Elvis, Bowie and The Beatles.
The list simply goes on and on. In the early nineties, I started my vinyl collection. Spending almost every weekend in various music shops, listening to the latest tracks and expanding my collection. Believe it or not , I actually fell into DJing by chance decades ago. It all started with a family friends engagement party. Unbelievably, the DJ pulled out a few days before the event. It was common knowledge that I had a huge collection of music, so I stood in. Coincidentally, it gave me an excuse to buy my first set of CD decks. The party was a success and I never looked back. Since then I knew then this was something more than just a hobby. I wanted to do this properly. My passion for garage and dance music grew in the late 90’s. Growing up, I was always to be found in my bedroom mixing on my decks before a night out. Having an extensive collection of vinyl, means that I still enjoy getting the old technics 1210’s out and having a mix. Every year the music industry just keeps giving us such fantastic music it’s exciting to see what comes next. Over the years I have played at 1000’s of birthdays parties, weddings and even have a fair few celebrity parties to my name. In addition, I had also had residencies at some of Ayia Napa’s best nightclubs. I have hosted everything, from soul nights 80’s, indie and dance club classics night’s. The rich mix of genres is what I love playing. Stevie wonder one minute then Fat Boy Slim or Kings of Leon the next. I am passionate about making your day special and give every event 100%. Where it all began
“I have always been around music, passed on mainly from my Dad, who had a giant vinyl collection.
Coincidentally, he was also one of the best Wedding DJs in the UK during his younger years.
Varying from John Holt, The Stones, Bob Marley, David Bowie, the list goes on …
His taste was definitely as varied as is mine now.
As I hit my teens however, I was fully hooked on the UK dance scene.
I purchased my first pair of belt drive sound lab decks and away I went.
I lived in record shops, and spent every weekend chasing down the newest music. Not surprisingly, the rest of my free time mastering my craft behind the turntables. Eventually, I upgraded my decks to Tecnhic 1200s and that took it all to another level. These were the decks I would later use in numerous night clubs and parties. However, these days I am an accomplished multi genre DJ. It’s easy and somewhat of a clichè to say that I love all music. But good music, is good music. Regardless of the genre. I can be listening to Notorious B.I.G one minute, and then flick to some classic Motown. (Not that I would consider that an appropriate transition at a wedding mind you) Furthermore, skip to the next day and my headphones will be blasting out some 80’s & 90’s classics. I believe music has no boundaries. With so many different artists and genres available. I can cater to almost any crowd. Myself and David, of Fox And Braces, are long standing friends. We’ve had many a mixing sessions over the 20 odd years we’ve known each other. When Dave and Dan approached me to join their wedding DJ business, I said yes without hesitation.
